The First Thought Is the Spell
What you think first… quietly becomes everything that follows.
Have you ever woken up…
and before your feet even hit the floor…
a thought crosses your mind—
“Great… today is going to be one of those days.”
Anger, frustration, or similar emotions arise.
And you carry those emotions with you throughout your day,
not realizing that what you have done is just declared, loud and clear,
the type of day you intend to have.
Declaring—thinking of—the type of day you’re going to have
comes naturally with the way you wake up.
Have you ever gone to sleep angry with the day and the events within it?
Replaying the images in your mind with frustration… with anger…
with the thought that you hope tomorrow will be a better day,
but it probably won’t be.
Do you relive this cycle, day in and day out?
You try to break the cycle,
and at times you do get a reprieve.
But then the cycle starts up again.
And you just know…
this is your life.
This is the way it has always been and will always be.
And you accept all of this as your fate.
Allow us to offer you this—
you are not destined to a cycle of fate.
Your life is not created by chance.
It is created by choice.
And choice is guided through intent.
Intent is created through your words,
your thoughts,
your feelings,
your beliefs—
and then acted upon.
This is how you are creating your days.
And your days are creating your life.
Quietly… consistently… powerfully.
You can guide all of this
by paying attention to what you are declaring…
what you are setting as your intent.
Stop.
Breathe.
Feel.
Notice the energy.
Close your eyes.
Relax.
Allow peace.
Allow clarity.
Do this when your day feels hectic.
Do this when your mind is so busy that nothing is being accomplished.
This is when you stop…
and take a moment.
This moment will allow you to realize—
it doesn’t have to be done right now.
Right now, your mind and your body are craving peace.
They are craving clarity.
It is like when you are suddenly so thirsty
that you must stop and take a drink.
You must feel refreshed.
It is the same.
You are craving that which is already within you.
This feeling within is saying:
Stop.
Refocus.
Focus within.
Focus on the feeling of peace.
Just breathe.
Your mind is too busy to hear the answer…
to allow the help.
Go to the quiet.
Sit in the quiet.
Gaze out a window.
Absorb the sunlight.
Take a walk.
Sit on a park bench.
If these things are not available,
close your eyes and quiet your mind.
Bring yourself to a place within
that offers the peace you are needing.
Allow this place to come to life
with peaceful images in your mind.
Allow this peace-filled feeling
to fill your body and your mind.
People are in such a hurry—
needing to do this,
needing to do that.
Yet all of this hurry causes chaos…
creating even more chaos and confusion.
The help you are looking for
comes through quieting the mind.
Some say, “Meditation does not work for me.
I sit quietly and I hear nothing. I see nothing.”
We ask you to feel the answer.
Feel the peace this offers.
For peace is the answer.
When your mind is at peace,
you will begin to notice the hints… the help…
throughout your day, so naturally
that you may think a great idea just showed up.
But this magic, this excitement in the idea,
came because it came from within.
You allowed the answer
that was living in you the entire time.
And you will know this
because it feels so good.
It feels right.
And your impulse to follow this idea—
to take action on it—
is strong and insistent.
Intent is powerful
because it gives direction to your mind
on what to focus on.
Intend…
and then go with the flow.
Before you sleep,
set your intention for a good night’s sleep
and for what you are wanting your next day to be.
Wake up
and recall your intentions for the day.
Repeat the same intention daily
if you want to focus on one thing clearly.
You will discover, as time goes by,
that your words will change naturally
as your intention becomes active in your life.
Become the creator of the life you want.
Intend.
Quiet the mind.
Notice the hints.
They may come to you through music…
or certain words suddenly being heard clearly and making sense.
They may come as you are walking in nature,
or taking a shower.
You may suddenly be inspired to do something
and not really know why.
Allow curiosities to be explored.
And allow patience
as you rewrite the story of your life.
And tomorrow morning…
notice the first thought.
We wish for you—
Love in your life.
Peace in your mind.
Joy in your soul.
